  1. Trend: Employees are more productive in the home office

Home office & remote work will not be emergency solutions in the future either, but rather implemented as new standards in companies.

This brings us to the second trend for 2021.

  1. Trend: remote recruiting & training

The search for new colleagues has changed in times of the corona pandemic. The fact that the first meeting already took place telefish before the pandemic is nothing new for the world of HR. However, the fact that the company values and the positive spirit of the employees also have to be conveyed in the second and third conversations via video conference is new. When this is done, the next exciting step follows - that digital onboarding.

For exactly this onboarding it is helpful to have a single one Information and communication platform where new employees can quickly find your contact person, your onboarding plan or documents using a search function. Such a platform acts as a support for an optimal start. Despite or precisely because of the spatial separation, it is of great relevance to convey the team spirit to new colleagues. Taking virtual breaks together or having a quick chat will help you to give new colleagues a sense of belonging.

  1. Trend: expert directory

Recruiting and onboarding is one side of the current trends. What we must not forget, however, are the companies that currently do not have the resources to hire new colleagues or freelancers for projects. The last few months has been the exciting trend of one Expert directory proven. The employees give in your Profile not only about your job, but also about hobbies, interests and passions. That may sound crazy at first, but it has two very clear advantages. On the one hand, it is easier for new employees first topics of conversation to identify and, on the other hand, people in managerial positions are given the opportunity to Experts to find. A nice example of this is the salesperson, who likes to take photos and edit the pictures in his spare time. On the face of it, you would not initially assume that the salesperson can also work graphically, but for internal projects this can certainly represent a strong support. Simply use the search function of your Social intranets and look around for your rough diamonds in the company.

  1. Trend: online events & networking

That there is no day without for many employees Video conferencing there is no surprise. Large trade fairs, concerts and even marathons were made digitally possible. These events can be used as a model for networking & information events. The elimination of distances enables events to be organized inexpensively across locations. It is also quite normal with a social intranet to really reach all employees - including colleagues who normally do not even need an email address. This alternative for face-to-face events plays an essential role between colleagues in order to ensure that interpersonal togetherness and to keep everyone up to date even in turbulent times.
